Phthalocyanine

Phthalocyanine Blue and Phthalocyanine Green are among the most important organic pigments on the market for plastics and all other major applications.

The chemical sturture is the following; phthalocyanine is a Cu (II) complex and becuse ir can be produced with diferent crystal structures, the name is always combined with this information. The α, ß, and ε modifications have different stacking angles between the even redder than the aa-form. While phthalocyanine green is a halogenated molecule, the blue is unsubstituted.

When appropriate substituent groups are included, solvent soluble forms can be obtained. All phthalocyanine colorants have very good heat stability in the range of 200 to 300 ºC and excellent light fastness. Phthalocyanine pigments may cause distortion in HDPE.
